Video Games Promote Raping, Assaulting Women

RapeLay is a new type of video games that requires gamers to rape, assault, and torture women.  And while these video games have been pulled out from the market after several international women’s groups expressed outrage, these are still widely available online where anyone can download this role-playing game.

This type of video game, which was developed by Japanese game companies, is so violent that its main theme is to rape and torture women as a way of revenge.  One game even allows players to impregnate a girl and force her to take an abortion.

While some people would say that such games are harmless or just a form of “escapism”, these may create a social norms that make raping, violating, and assaulting women acceptable to the society.
