JibJab | Funny Cards

Say you have a friend in another part of the country and you want to send him or her something that will make your friend know that you are thinking about him or her. It may be your dear pal’s birthday, it may be his or her graduation or you just basically want to reach out. What are your options?
One, you can try sending a gift via UPS or FedEx. But the sipping alone costs a lot, especially if it requires a shipment to another continent. Two, you can try sending one of them Hallmark cards that contain sappy love poems but we all know how the USPS system is and how long snail mail takes. Three, you can just call up your friend but hey, again, AT&T and Verizon might profit from this but every agonizing minute may make your wallet ache.
Or, lastly, you can email your friend. This is free and at the same time, it’s as easy as putting butter on toast. But you cannot just send a “Hello, How are you doing today?” email as that just won’t cut it. How can you make an online communication to your friend that will deliver the message and at the same time have that pizzazz that you are looking for?
Introducing Jibjab. Actually, the creators of this company are two brothers that started their company in a garage (yes, much like Google and Microsoft). But in any case, Jibjab is most probably the funniest site there is that offers eCards to send out. You can choose from a multitude of eCards that can be sent out to your friends, loved ones or family members. There is this one eCard that I particularly love just to make my close high school friend know that I am thinking about him. It features a man and a woman drinking coffee and there is a message there saying “Let’s go get a cup of coffee.” It’s like our secret joke that we can only send out invitations because we are in the opposite parts of the world.

Oh, and best of all, there are free eCards available from Jibjab so you need not have to shell out any dollars just to be funny.
But this company offers more than just quirky eCards. They offer the total web-based entertainment with their “Jibjab Originals.”
On this part of the site you will see videos made by the people behind Jibjab that are downright F-U-N-N-Y. It has the oldies but goodies that skyrocketed Jibjab to success like “This Land” and the rap showdown of the 2004 presidential election candidates. They also update their database constantly and fresh materials come in all the time that are certified to make you laugh out loud, like the 2008 video featuring, you guessed it right, Obama and McCain.
To top it off, Jibjab just recently launched the “Jokebox” so people that register for free can compile their jokes and photo jokes that they love in Jibjab in one “Jokebox.”
Bottom line is, if you are looking for a quick way to make others laugh and if you are looking to entertain yourself this is your place.

We’ve seen coverage from news sources of every type, but it’s all too rare that we make ESPN. Due to a heavy endorsement from Mike & Mike in the Morning (who are celebrating 10 years) and ESPN’s Page 2, we saw a big jump in the number of Figure Skating ‘Starring You’ vids made [...]
