Harlequin Baby

As I was browsing the YouTube videos, I came upon this news video from abroad which reported about a baby with an extremely rare appearance.

The newborn child has a very dry skin that resembles that of a snake, has red bulging eyes, and a wide-open mouth.

At first it seems to be unreal, but when I searched through the Internet, I found out that the baby has a rare medical condition called Harlequin which is a genetic skin disorder that prevents the body from producing keratin (this makes our skin elastic).

According to what I red, the mortality rate of harlequin babies is almost 100 percent since they die due to various kinds of skin infections.  Unfortunately, there has been no cure yet for this rare medical condition.
