Catholic School Kicks Out a Preschooler with Lesbian Parents
Colorado: A Catholic school said it will not allow a preschooler to re-enroll next year because the child’s parents are lesbians, according to a local news report.
In a statement released Friday, the Sacred Heart of Jesus said the child’s parents are not “following the Catholic teaching” which prohibits same-sex marriage.
Meanwhile, the archdiocese in Denver defended the school’s decision, saying that the child may be “confused” and that the teachers and school administration may find themselves in a compromising situation.
However, some neighbors in the area did not approve the school’s decision, adding that a child with gay parents should not be punished.
Meanwhile, here is a video from an advocacy group that is urging the archdiocese to apologize for his action.
